For those of you who haven't seen these birds, it's hard to believe they exist. What marvelous colours they have! Among waterfowl carvers, this bird is a favorite. This carving is of a male, which is far more colourful than the female. I fondly recall watching them in Lost Lagoon. This standing wood duck is technically one of my better pieces, and was a labour of love without shortcuts. I have to admit, I enjoyed taking my time on this one. Price: $2800.00 |
